Maritime Safety Through Real-World Experience

Fleet Survival Systems (FSS) is a mobile maritime training company dedicated to preparing Sailors, mariners, and vessel crews with real-world survival, safety, and emergency response skills. Founded by Adrian McClinton Sr., a retired U.S. Navy Chief Boatswain’s Mate (BMC) with over 20 years of honorable naval service, FSS was built on a foundation of leadership, discipline, and hands-on operational experience.
Throughout his Navy career, Adrian developed extensive knowledge both on and off the deck plates, leading teams, conducting training, and mentoring Sailors in critical seamanship and survival operations. His passion for teaching naturally carried beyond military service, as he continued sharing the knowledge, standards, and values that helped shape his career. His leadership has impacted countless individuals, and the lessons he teaches are designed not only to improve operational readiness, but also to build confidence, professionalism, and life-saving decision-making skills.
Although Adrian’s chapter in the Navy came to a close, he never believed the knowledge and experience he gained were meant to end there. Through Fleet Survival Systems, his mission is to continue educating and preparing those who work at sea or aspire to enter the maritime industry. FSS is committed to ensuring every student understands the importance of safety, accountability, teamwork, and the responsibilities that come with life on the water.
